From AOLnews:
In addition to achieving notoriety for abusing others, former Liberian President Charles Taylor and supermodel Naomi Campbell are connected by a single rough diamond. And that inconvenient jewel is the reason she has been ordered to appear before the Special Court for Sierra Leone in The Hague.
Taylor is accused of war crimes stemming from his involvement in Sierra Leone's 1991-2002 civil war. Prosecutors say he supported the rebel armies Revolutionary United Front (RUF) and the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) by giving them weapons in exchange for rough diamonds.
He is also accused of directing or supporting the RUF's terrorizing of civilians, including wholesale massacres, conscription of children into child armies, rape, kidnapping of women and girls for use as sexual slaves, kidnapping of civilians for forced labor, and mutilation of civilians by cutting off their limbs and carving "AFRC" or "RUF" into their bodies.
Campbell, who was convicted of throwing a cell phone at her maid and sentenced to five days soft labor in 2007, has avoided testifying at Taylor's trial for a year. A court ruling published today requires her to appear before the court on July 29 or be prosecuted for contempt, making her eligible for a seven-year stint in prison and a whopping fine of 2 million Sierra Leone leones (about $510.)

I'm not sure if there is anything worse than lying by omission for Charles Taylor.
