FYI: Shyne inspired, not Jewish

Shyne accepted “temporary deportation” to his native Belize, 4 wks after being detained by immigration officials after his release from a nearly 9yr prison sentence for involvement in a '99 shooting at a NY club. His lawyer confirmed he would return to Belize where he spent the first 13 yrs of his life; his father, Dean Barrow, is the nation’s prime minister.

Shyne (Jamal Barrow), changed his name to Moses Levi during his incarceration, will work on his eventual return to the US while in Belize. He said that he did not convert to Judaism, as has been reported, but was inspired by Biblical figures: "In life, you are what you are and this is what I am," he said. "I don't want to be like Michael Jordan. I want to be like Moses or King David or King Solomon. Those are the guys I aspire to be like. I didn't want to be like the kingpin on my block; I wanted to be like the guy who parted the sea, that's why I chose that name."
