Was he mad at D.C.? "I love D.C." Cam'ron proclaimed. "This could have happened in Idaho or Wyoming."
That night, Cam'ron & his entourage hit H20 nightclub on Water St., off Maine Ave. SW. Hip-hop mogul Diddy, a Howard alum, was hosting the Homecoming fest. Cam'ron & his 30-member entourage were stopped at H2O's door. Some of them wore T-shirts, jerseys & jeans -- not up to dresscode. Cam'ron & a friend left in his Lamborghini -- a '06 Gallardo ft. in a music video. Some followed in the pink Range Rover. Cam'ron stopped @ a red light @1:20am. An Expedition pulled up. A man got out of the passenger side, came up & began shooting. An officer w/ DC Protective Serv's was @ the intersection in a marked police car also witnessed the crime.Cam'ron was hit in both arms but sped off. The man jumped back into the SUV, the driver crashed into a parked car & a house @6th & U Sts. NW. Both doors jammed, & the men shot out a window to escape. Police got fingerprints, a Nextel; shell casings; a .45 handgun; and tracked down the SUVs owner, but can't establish who used it that night.
He suffered nerve damage in one arm & requires follow-up surgery. He stood outside the hospital w/ the 200K worth of jewelry at his neck & proclaimed: "They didn't get anything; I still got my car & my jewelry." And: "I didn't give up the car b/c I paid 250K for it. I won't just give up anything to anybody b/c they're waving a gun around." And: "The people who did it was real sloppy."
It should be easy to solve: A blinged-out rapper is shot in his royal blue 250K Lamborghini on a busy DC st. during HUs homecoming. A 1/2 dozen ppl witness the attack, incl. members of his entourage, following in a bright-pink Range Rover. Cam'ron even gets a good look @the gunman.
Police say the investigation is stalled for one maddening reason. Platinum-selling rapper Cameron "Cam'ron" Giles -- isn't cooperating. 4 wks have passed, they can't even get him on the phone. "Cam isn't going to do it," sd Juelz Santana. "It's not in our nature. He isn't going to stand up & point out a guy in a witness line & say, 'That is the dude who shot me.' We all came from the street."

Who is Juelz Santana?

ReplyDeletehere. this from intra web. dip set forever.
The Diplomats, also popularly known as Dipset, are a Harlem-based hip hop group founded by Cam'ron and Jim Jones in 2002. The original members of the group are Cam'ron, Jim Jones, and Freeky Zeeky, who all grew up together on the East Side of Harlem. Juelz Santana would later be added to the group in 2001. Though the record label Diplomat Records still exists, their future is in dispute after group founder Cam'ron left, and various artists have broken into separate entities or solo acts.
