A woman who was taking an art class at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art has accidentally fallen into a Picasso painting and damaged it.
The painting called The Actor sustained a vertical tear of about six inches in the lower right-hand corner.
But the damage did not affect the "focal point of the composition" and should be repaired for an exhibition later this year, the museum said.She was taking an art class and had an accident. That doesn't explain anything. And are there no consequences for this sort of thing? Maybe I just feel like I've had fucked up accidents like this, and they really were accidents cept I was drunk, but you know I got a disease - anyway, no one would ever accept that my accidents could have occured if I hadn't been under the influence. It doesn't make sense that the museum is saying "Whatever, the focal point is cool. Jose's gonna repair it soon." She's either real rich/famous or it was a special needs art class.
